Location and dates

San Lorenzo is 48 km southeast of Reggio Calabria . The place is on the southern slope of the Aspromonte on the back of a spur at a height of 787  m slm The districts are Chorio, Lanzina, Marina di San Lorenzo, San Fantino, San Pantaleone, Santa Maria. The neighboring municipalities are Bagaladi , Condofuri , Melito di Porto Salvo , Montebello Ionico and Roccaforte del Greco .

Attractions

In the village on a small square there are two churches that were built in a style similar to the Renaissance. There are also ruins of a Basilian monastery in the village .
