Stilo is an Italian municipality in the metropolitan city of Reggio Calabria in Calabria with 2499 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) and is a member of the association I borghi più belli d'Italia (The most beautiful places in Italy).

Location and dates

Stilo is 148 km northeast of Reggio Calabria on the southeast side of the Serre . The neighboring communities are Bivongi , Brognaturo ( VV ), Camini , Guardavalle ( CZ ), Monasterace , Mongiana (VV), Nardodipace (VV), Pazzano , Serra San Bruno (VV), Spadola (VV) and Stignano .

Stilocattolica Church

In Stilo stands the Cattolica di Stilo church , a well-preserved and elegant Byzantine church that was built in the 10th century. There is also a cathedral from the 13th-14th centuries. Century with a Gothic portal and Romanesque reliefs on the facade.
