Sant'Eufemia d'Aspromonte is an Italian city in the metropolitan city of Reggio Calabria in Calabria with 3899 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019).

Location and dates

Sant'Eufemia d'Aspromonte is 44 km northeast of Reggio Calabria . The resort is located on the northern slope of Aspromonte at an altitude of 420  m slm. The districts are Badia, Covala, San Bartolomeo, Sant'Oreste, C. da San Luca. The neighboring municipalities are Bagnara Calabra , Melicuccà , San Procopio , Scilla and Sinopoli .

The place was almost completely destroyed in the earthquake in 1793.

Attractions

The younger part of the village is laid out in a checkerboard shape. The archpriest church is worth seeing. In the area there are two ruins of medieval monasteries.
