The Strada Statale 26 (SS26) (French: Route nationale 26 - RN26 ) is an Italian state road that was established in 1928 between Chivasso and the Kleiner Sankt Bernhard pass , where it continues in Route nationale 90 (since 2006 D 1090) to Grenoble finds. It goes back to the Strada nazionale 37, which was laid out on the same route in 1923. Because of its guided tour through the Aosta Valley , it bears the title of Aosta Valley by name . Its length is 156 kilometers. In 1959 she received a branch with the number SS26dir (dir = diramazione). This branches off in Pré-Saint-Didier and runs to the Mont-Blanc tunnel , where it is continued in the French N205 (1959–1973 N 506 A ). South of Ivrea, the SS26 was relocated to an eastern bypass.
