Teplička (German Töpeles , formerly Töppeles ) is a municipality in Czech Republic . It is located nine kilometers south of Karlovy Vary and belongs to the Okres Karlovy Vary .
geography
Teplička is located in the Imperial Forest in the Teplá Valley . The municipality belongs to the ChKO Slavkovský les protected landscape area. The Mariánské Lázně – Karlovy Vary railway runs through the village and the state road 20 / E 49 from Karlovy Vary to Bečov nad Teplou runs on the opposite bank on the right .
Neighboring towns are Cihelny and Březová in the north, Stanovice in the northeast, Nové Stanovice , U Močidel and Dražov in the east, Hlinky in the southeast, Krásný Jez and Ležnička in the south, Ležnice, Kounice and Horní Slavkov in the southwest and Bošířany in the west. To the west are the corridors of the extinct village of Kfely.
history
Teplička is a Slavic foundation. After the German colonization of the area, the Germanized name Toppeless emerged , under which the settlement was first mentioned in 1475. The inhabitants of the village subject to the Bečov rule lived from agriculture and the Teplá drove several mills.
After the abolition of patrimonial Töppeles formed from 1850 a district of the municipality Leßnitz in the district Falkenau . In 1888 the community of Töppeles was established, which from 1905 belonged to the Teplá district. With the Marienbad – Karlsbad railway line, inaugurated in 1898 , Töppeles received a railway connection. The Frieder & Körper porcelain factory was also established at this time. In 1900 the village consisted of 45 houses and had 385 inhabitants, of whom all but two Czechs belonged to the German ethnic group. In 1930 Töpeles had exclusively German residents and consisted of 58 houses. As a result of the Munich Agreement , Töpeles was annexed to the German Reich in 1938 and assigned to the district of Tepl . In 1939 the community had 327 inhabitants.
After the end of the Second World War, the village came back to Czechoslovakia. From 1945 onwards, most of the Germans were expelled ; the china factory was demolished. Czechs, Slovaks and Volhynian Czechs were settled in Teplička . Some of the farms found no new owners and were demolished. Between 1949 and 1960 the municipality was part of the Okres Karlovy Vary-okolí and then came to the Okres Karlovy Vary. After the communist reforms in agriculture, the Dalovice State Estate ran the farms from 1955. In 1962 the Teplička farm , which was part of the Slavkov State Estate, was established. Ten years later, because of the construction of the Stanovice dam, cattle breeding was discontinued. From 1976 to 1990 Teplička was incorporated into Bečov nad Teplou . Today the community is primarily a place of relaxation, a large part of the houses are used as holiday homes.
