Terrazzo is a municipality with 2150 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the Italian province of Verona , Veneto region .

geography

The municipal area covers 20.53  km² . The local saint is San Paolo . The neighboring municipalities are Badia Polesine ( RO ), Bevilacqua , Boschi Sant'Anna , Castagnaro , Castelbaldo ( PD ), Legnago , Merlara ( PD ), Urbana ( PD ) and Villa Bartolomea .

The place is located on the Adige , about 49 kilometers south of Verona on the border with the province of Padua .

history

The region was already settled around 1400 to 1200 BC, towards the end of the Bronze Age. The oldest finds are dated to 1600 BC.

In Roman times, the place was on the Emilia Altinate , a road built in 175 BC that led from Bologna to Aquileia .
