Uli Plessmann
Uli Pleßmann (born May 15, 1952 in Goslar ) is a German actor , radio play speaker , theater director and singer .
Life
Uli Pleßmann grew up in Frankfurt am Main, passed the Abitur there and studied special education with the subject music. After a teaching position at the school for the physically disabled in the Hessian metropolis, he completed a singing and acting course at the Salzburg Mozarteum from 1979 to 1982 . At the city's National Theater Pleßmann had 1982-1988 a first multi-year commitment, in 1987 he stepped beyond at the Salzburg Festival in. Between 1988 and 1992 he was engaged at the Schleswig-Holstein State Theater , after which he was engaged for one season each at the Stadttheater Gießen and the Theater Basel . Pleßmann has been working as a freelance artist since 1994 and has had piece contracts at various Hamburg theaters such as the State Opera , the Ernst-Deutsch-Theater and Schmidts Tivoli , at the Bremerhaven City Theater and the theaters in Lüneburg and Heilbronn . Currently (2015/16 season) he is a member of the Berliner Ensemble .
Well-known speaking roles in Pleßmann's theater career have so far been Constable Smith in the Threepenny Opera by Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill , Count Isolani in Wallenstein by Friedrich Schiller , the title role in Max Frisch's drama Biedermann and the Arsonists or Felix Unger in A Strange Couple by Neil Simon . Pleßmann also played Claudius in William Shakespeare's Hamlet , the servant Just in Minna von Barnhelm by Gotthold Ephraim Lessing and the pupil Wagner in Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's Faust . In addition, Pleßmann also works extensively on music theater. Here he was seen as Papageno in Mozart's Magic Flute , as steward Theophil in Paul Lincke's operetta Frau Luna , as manufacturer Giesecke im Weißen Rößl by Ralph Benatzky and in the musicals Der kleine Horrorladen by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman and Richard O'Brien's Rocky Horror show .
With the bass-baritone pitch , Pleßmann is often a guest at classical concerts. His repertoire includes the Requiem and C Minor Mass by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Handel's Messiah , or of Johann Sebastian Bach , the St. Mark Passion and the Christmas Oratorio .
Between 1995 and 2003, Uli Pleßmann often worked as a director at the Schmidt Theater in Hamburg, as well as at the Comedy Düsseldorf , the Comedy Kassel and at the Scherenburg Festival .
Since the mid-1990s, Pleßmann has also been in front of the camera and can mainly be seen in guest roles in well-known series, such as SOKO Wismar , the Großstadtrevier or Bella Block . 1995/1996 he played in 13 episodes as Prof. Dr. Albers in the soap opera Verbotene Liebe , in the series Verschollen he embodied the character of Clemens Bartsch in 29 episodes in 2004 and 2005 .
Since the beginning of the 2000s, Pleßmann has also worked extensively as a radio play speaker, mainly in productions for the North German Radio . Furthermore, his voice is in the commercial series Die Drei ??? and a case for TKKG and can be heard in computer games like Transformers: Beast Wars or Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus .
Uli Pleßmann lives in Berlin.
