Valentyna Bolshova

Walentyna Bolschowa ( Ukrainian Валентина Большова , English transcription Valentyna Bolshova, née Масловська - Maslowska - Maslovska; born January 30, 1937 in Odessa ) is a former Ukrainian sprinter and hurdler who competed for the Soviet Union .

At the European Athletics Championships in Stockholm in 1958 , she won the 4-by-100-meter relay , was sixth over 100 m and was eliminated over 80 m hurdles in the semifinals.

Two years later, she reached the semifinals of the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome over 200 m and was fourth in the 4 x 100 meter relay .

At the EM in 1962 in Belgrade, she was fifth over 200 m . In the 4 x 100 meter relay, she was disqualified in the final with the Soviet team.

After marrying the high jumper Viktor Bolschow , she won bronze in the 1966 European Championship in Budapest with the Soviet 4 x 100 meter relay. Over 200 m she was eliminated in the semi-finals and over 100 m in the preliminary run.

At the European Indoor Games in 1967 she won the 4-by-150-meter relay and the mixed 1500-meter relay.
