history
The first settlement by Slavs took place around the 5th century. Since the beginning of the 14th century the place belonged to the Lords of Rosenberg . During the Hussite Wars , the village was often sacked by the imperial armies. The residents were Hussites . In 1472 the Zvíkov Castle and the place were pledged to Bohuslav von Schwanberg . The Schwanbergs ruled for about 150 years.
Attractions
- Church of St. Michael from the time of the reign of Charles IV. The first chapel was converted into a church in 1352 and the administration was taken over by the Cross Lords with the red star, who belonged to Bechyně. The church was destroyed during the Hussite Wars and rebuilt in 1639.
