Dolní Novosedly , until 1994 Novosedly (German Unter Neusattel , formerly Neusattel ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located four kilometers northeast of Písek and belongs to the Okres Písek .

geography

Dolní Novosedly is located on a saddle in the northern foothills of the Písecké hory ( Písek Mountains ); the Otava tributary Vrcovický potok rises to the north , and the Vltava tributary Novosedelský potok to the south . To the east is the Podhorák pond. The Tábor – Písek railway runs to the north, and the state road I / 29 between Písek and Tábor to the west of the village . To the north rises the Svatonický vrch (517 m), east of the Na Dlouhých (483 m) in the southeast the Mlaká (548 m), the Chudý vrch (573 m) and the Žejdlíček (584 m), south of the Provazce (611 m) , the Kraví hora (613 m) and the Jarník (609 m), west of the Na Lomech (543 m) and in the north-west the Sýkorka (525 m).

Neighboring towns are Svatonice, U Vlků and Dolní Záhoří in the north, Horní Záhoří, Třešně, Nová Třešně and Slavík in the northeast, Nad Rybníkem, Pazderny and Chrastiny in the east, Kluky , Křižatky, Nové Sedlo and Stružky in the south, Horní Užky in the southeast Honzíčka, Logry, Srnkovna, Ptáčkovna and Brložnice in the south-west, Purkratice and Topělec in the west and Vrcovice in the north-west.

history

Novosedly was first mentioned in a document in 1061 when it was donated to the Insula monastery . In 1230 the village belonged to the monastery of St. George at Prague Castle . At an unknown point in time, the estate came to secular owners. A share belonged from 1517 to the family Zima von Novosedly; Václav Zima von Novosedly was in the service of Zdeniek Lev von Rosental around 1530 . Another share was subject to Klingenberg Castle, this share became part of the Červený Újezdec estate in 1612 and was added to the Worlik family entourage by the princes of Eggenberg at the end of the 17th century .

In 1837 Neu-Sattel / Nowosedlo consisted of 25 houses with 163 inhabitants. Ten of them belong to the Roth-Augezd estate (Fideikommissherrschaft Worlik ), eight to the town of Písek and seven to the Drhowl estate . Parish and school location was Ober-Zahořj ( Horní Záhoří ). Until the middle of the 19th century, Neu-Sattel was always divided between three lords.

After the abolition of patrimonial were Dolní Novosedlo / sub Neusattel and Chrastiny / Chrastin 1850 districts of the municipality Tresné in the district administration and the judicial district Písek. Novosedly (Horní Novosedly), however, belonged to the city of Písek. Between 1886 and 1889 the Tábor - Milevsko - Písek - Ražice railway line was built . Dolní Novosedlo consisted of 30 houses in 1890 and had 222 inhabitants. Sandstone quarries were operated south of the village.

In 1919 Dolní Novosedlo broke away from Třešně and formed its own municipality. In 1924 the parish name was changed to Dolní Novosedly . In 1964 Dolní Novosedly was incorporated into Záhoří , and Horní Novosedly was also reassembled from Písek to Záhoří. On November 24, 1990 Chrastiny, Dolní Novosedly and Horní Novosedly broke away from Záhoří and formed the municipality Novosedly . The municipality name was changed to Dolní Novosedly on June 24, 1994 . There is an extensive quarry at Provazce.

The municipality of Dolní Novosedly consists of the districts Chrastiny ( Chrastin ), Dolní Novosedly ( Unter Neusattel ), Horní Novosedly ( Ober Neusattel ) and Nová Třešně ( New Treschen ) as well as the layers of Křižatky, Nové Sedlo, Nad Rybníkem, Pazderny, Stružky.
