Zborów district
The Zborów district was a political district in the crown land of Galicia and Lodomeria . Its area covered parts of eastern Galicia in what is now western Ukraine ( Ternopil Oblast and Lviv Oblast , Sboriv Rajon and parts of Zolochiv Rajon ), the seat of the district administration was the place Zborów . After the First World War , Austria had to cede the entire district to Poland .
It bordered the Brody District to the north, the Tarnopol District to the east, the Brzeżany District to the south, the Przemyślany District to the west and the Złoczów District to the northwest .
history
The district emerged late in the course of the administrative history of Galicia, specifically it was created on September 1, 1904 when the judicial district of Zborów left the Złoczów district.
In the 1910 census, the Zborów district consisted of 59 municipalities and 44 manor areas and covered an area of 637 km². In 1900 the population was 54,972 people, in 1910 60,665 people lived here. The majority of the population lived in the area with Ruthenian colloquial language (68%) and the Greek Catholic faith, Jews made up around 10% of the population.
On September 1, 1911, the court district of Załoźce (from the Brody district ) was added to the already existing judicial district of Zborów .
