history

A forerunner of the later district (administrative and judicial authority at the same time) was created at the end of 1850, the Sambor district authority was subordinate to the government area of Lviv and comprised the following judicial districts:

  • Sambor Judicial District, Section I.

  • Bronica Judicial District
  • Stara Sól judicial district

After the announcement in 1854, the Sambor District Office was established on September 29, 1855 (still responsible for administration and jurisdiction) within the Sambor District.

After the district offices were abolished at the end of October 1865 and their competencies were transferred to the district offices , the division of the country into two administrative areas was also abolished after the Austro-Hungarian Compromise in 1867. In addition, in the course of the separation of the political from the judicial administration, separate administrative and judicial authorities were created. While the judicial division remained largely unaffected, municipalities of several judicial districts were combined into administrative districts.

The new political district Sambor was formed from the following districts:

  • Sambor district (with 32 parishes)
  • Łąka District (with 22 municipalities)
