Saint-Martial-d'Albarède ( Occitan Sent Marçau d'Aubareda ) is a southern French municipality with 464 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Dordogne department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region (before 2016 Aquitaine ). It consists of the main town and several hamlets (hameaux) and individual farms (fermes) .

Location and climate

Attractions

The Église Saint-Martial has a medieval origins, but the small building made of hewn stone has been modified several times. A church bell was cast in 1726 and listed as a historical monument in 1991.
There are three lime kilns and the Gangloff brewery complex on the outskirts .
A restored wash house ( lavoir ) is on the banks of the Loue.
