history

The defining word of the place name is Büttel . The court was available to the Büttel for his services as an official messenger for the Vogt free of charge.

Bittelhof was in the Fraisch district of the Ansbach Oberamt Feuchtwangen . In 1732 there were 2 properties with 3 teams. The village and community rule was exercised by the Aurach Vogtamt . The sole landlord was the Eichstättische Kastenamt Herrieden (1 yard, 1 yard with double crew). By the end of the Old Kingdom nothing had changed in the circumstances. From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Feuchtwangen .

With the community edict (early 19th century), Bittelhof was assigned to the Weinberg tax district and the Elbersroth rural community . On July 1, 1971, Bittelhof was incorporated into Herrieden as part of the regional reform .
