Boigu , Engl .: Boigu Iceland , is the largest island of the Talbot Islands and the fifth largest in the archipelago of the Torres Strait Islands , which the Australian state of Queensland are.

Administratively, Boigu is one of the Top Western Islands , an island region in Torres Shire County .

The approximately 90 km² large and flat island is 6 km off the south coast of Papua New Guinea at the level of the mouth of the Mai Kussa . It is considered to be the northernmost inhabited island in Australia.

In the north of the island there is the only settlement (of the same name) as well as a runway that is about 800 meters long and suitable for smaller aircraft . The settlement of Boigu is the northernmost inhabited place in Australia.

Boigu has a population of 283 (2006 census), down from 270 in 2001.
