The 2017 EBSA European Snooker Championship was a snooker tournament that took place from March 13th to 19th, 2017 at the Hilton Park Hotel in the Cypriot capital Nicosia . It was the 26th edition of the continental championship organized by the European snooker association EBSA .

Chris Totten became European champion and qualified for the Main Tour seasons 2017/18 and 2018/19 as well as for the snooker competition of the World Games 2017 in Wroclaw . The Scot defeated the Estonian Andres Petrov 7-3 in the final .

mode

The 115 participants were divided into 23 groups in which they competed against each other in round robin mode . The top three in each group qualified for the final round, which was played in the knockout system .
