The Eurocup 2014/15 was 13 . Time of the ULEB discharged Euro cups .
After the competition was held once with 48 teams last year, the number of participants in the preliminary round was limited to 36 teams. As in the previous year, the semi-finals and finals were decided in the knockout system in the return leg.
The title was won for the second time by BK Chimki from Russia .
mode
36 teams took part in the preliminary round of the Eurocup. The preliminary round as the second round in the round-robin tournament mode English round robin played with home and away in six groups of six teams each. The preliminary round participants were divided into two regional conferences with 18 teams each, east and west, when the preliminary round groups were drawn. The teams in the two lower places in the table in each preliminary round group were eliminated, while the other teams, together with the eight participants of the Euroleague who did not reach the second round of the best 16 teams in that competition, in eight groups of four teams each the intermediate round formed with a total of 32 teams. After the intermediate round, the knockout system , adding the first and second leg, continued, with the two best teams in each intermediate round group qualifying for the round of 16. The result of the addition of the two games decided the winner of the comparison who reached the next round. While no extra time to determine a winner was possible from the round of 16 onwards in the first leg, in the second leg a five-minute extension of the regular playing time was carried out until after adding the result in the second leg and the final result in the first leg, one team had scored more points than the opponent. The winner of the addition of the final first leg and second leg was the overall winner of the competition.
Participants in the preliminary round
The draw for the first group stage took place on September 29, 2014 in Barcelona ( Spain ).
* : Participants on the basis of a wild card , not on the basis of the previous year 's placement
EC : Winner of the EuroChallenge 2013/14
a : in brackets play-off placement in the respective championship, possibly supplemented by a main round placement or national cup win ( P )
b : ULEB Euroleague qualification loser
Regular season
After the end of the Euroleague qualification , the draw on September 29, 2014 divided the participants into an eastern and a western " Conference ". The teams from the area historically known politically as Western Europe , i.e. regional European Western and Southern Europe as well as Germany, came to the Western Conference and the teams from the rest of Central Europe and Eastern European representatives to the Eastern Conference. The teams from Greece as well as Turkey and Israel were assigned to the Eastern Conference. Teams from Northern Europe were not in the starting field at this Eurocup.
1st group stage
The first group stage matches took place between October 14th and December 17th, 2014.
For teams with the same number of wins, it was not the total point ratio that was decisive for the group placements, but only the added result in a direct comparison of the teams with one another.

2nd group stage (load 32)
The Round of 32 games took place between January 6 and February 11, 2015.
The eight eliminated teams of the Euroleague joined the 24 qualified teams from the preliminary round .
Just as in the preliminary round, for teams with the same number of wins, it was not the total basket point ratio that was decisive for the group placements, but only the added result in a direct comparison of the teams with one another.
