The Frankonia Automotive GmbH was a German manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was based in Frankenhausen . Albin Weber and Hermann Kuhnen as well as Messrs. Luxenberg, Reichenbach, Förster, Krey and Schütze sat on the Supervisory Board. In December 1905, land was purchased and a building was erected, which was ready for occupancy on June 11, 1906. In 1906 the production of automobiles began. The brand name was FAF . Production ended in 1907.

The company made models with four-cylinder engines. These were the 16/22 PS , the 20/28 PS and the 28/30 PS . The new price was between 9,000 and 16,000 marks .
