The Fulmina-Werke Carl Hoffmann GmbH was a German automotive supplier and automobile manufacturer in Seckenheim (today Mannheim-Seckenheim ), near the boundary to Friedrichsfeld (today Mannheim-Friedrichsfeld ). Complete automobiles were built there between 1910 and 1926 .

The construction of automobiles began on a small scale in Mannheim-Käfertal in 1910 . By 1913, a larger plant was built in the Seckenheim district, near the border with Friedrichsfeld. With the beginning of the First World War , production fell asleep and revived after the end of the war. Mid -range cars were created , for example an 8/22 hp touring car with a four-cylinder engine .

In order not to compete with the customers of the main business with automobile parts and assemblies, the production of complete vehicles was given up in 1926. Around 400 vehicles had been produced by then, none of which has survived.

From 1924 Fulmina manufactured Perrot-Bendix brakes under license. Since 1930 the plant with the incorporation of Seckenheim and Friedrichsfeld has been in the Mannheim district. With the takeover of Deutsche Perrot-Bremse , the plant in Mannheim became part of the WABCO group in 1994 .
