Butz (car brand)
Butz was a German car brand.
description
The manufacturer of the light automobiles was Bungartz & Co. from Munich . It was only built in 1934. Vehicles were presented at the IAMA that year . The construction came from Josef Ganz .
The two-seater convertible saloon had a plywood - body and a water-cooled two-cylinder - two-stroke engine with 400 cc engine capacity , which was installed in the rear. Another source also gives 14 hp and a three-speed transmission.
A similar vehicle was built from 1933 to 1934 by the Gutbrod works under Ganz licenses. After the production of this Standard Superior was stopped again, Ganz started looking for a new partner. Bungartz exhibited a prototype at the Berlin Motor Show in 1934, which was supposed to cost 1430 Reichsmarks .
Since there was too little public interest, only a few sample cars were built.
