Two different spellings have been handed down as the company name: Sauer Motoren-Werke GmbH and Sauer Motorenwerke GmbH . The company was based in Hamburg . One source gives the street Esplanade . In 1920 the company was mentioned. The production of automobiles ran from 1921 to 1922. The brand name was Sauer . The number of pieces remained small.
