Sauer Motoren-Werke GmbH was a German manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Two different spellings have been handed down as the company name: Sauer Motoren-Werke GmbH and Sauer Motorenwerke GmbH . The company was based in Hamburg . One source gives the street Esplanade . In 1920 the company was mentioned. The production of automobiles ran from 1921 to 1922. The brand name was Sauer . The number of pieces remained small.

Only one model was on offer. It was referred to as 10/30 hp . This meant 10 tax horsepower and 30 horsepower engine output. The gasoline engine had four cylinders .
