The Diabolo Small Car AG was a German company that small cars produced.

description

Some sources state the legal form of a public company , others a limited liability company . The company existed from 1922 to 1927 and was initially based in Stuttgart and later in Bruchsal . The move took place in 1927. The share capital at the time was 8,500 Reichsmarks. Julius Engelmann was a member of the board and authorized signatory. But there is also an indication that at the time of production in Bruchsal, Deutsche Eisenbahnsignalwerke AG was the manufacturer. It is unclear whether it was a change of name or a completely different company that continued production.

vehicles

On offer were two similar three-wheeled vehicles based on the British model (e.g. that of the Morgan ) with a narrow front axle and a single, powered rear wheel. A water-cooled V2 engine from Motosacoche with a displacement of 1093 cm³ and 16 hp was used as the drive . In the sports version, the engine developed 26 hp.

The wheelbase was 220 cm. The vehicles were 330 cm long, 135 cm wide and 115 cm high. The basic model had a track width of 106 cm , whereas the sports version was 115 cm. The curb weight was given as 350 kg or 320 kg for the sports version. In both cases, the open body offered space for two people.

A preserved radiator grille with emblem is in the Marxzell Vehicle Museum .

Others
