The Hero-Werke Fr. E. Rothe was a German automobile manufacturer.

The company was based in Gera . The brand name was Hero . The construction period was probably from 1933 to 1934. However, one source only states 1933 as the year of production and another source only states 1934 as the year of supply. At least one vehicle was presented at an international automobile and motorcycle exhibition in 1933. The press then reported about it.

The only model was a tricycle . Tricycles were tax-privileged in the German Reich at that time . The vehicles were rear-wheel drive. A water-cooled two - cylinder two - stroke engine from DKW with 584 cm³ displacement and 15 HP power provided the drive . A four-seater limousine is shown. The body was made of wood and was covered with synthetic leather . With a wheelbase of 250 cm and a track width of 125 cm, the vehicle was 400 cm long and weighed 385 kg. In addition, a two-seater coupe and an at least planned open two-seater are mentioned.
