Masons Union of 1902

Maurer-Union was an automobile company in Nuremberg .

The company produced 300–400 automobiles per year from 1900 to 1910 with a workforce of around 400 workers. An interesting construction detail was the use of a stepless face plate friction gear , which was also known as a " friction gear ".

From 1907 trucks were also manufactured. By then Ludwig Maurer one of the first manufacturers in Germany. However, he could not enjoy the success for a long time. After a falling out with his backers at the time, the inventor had to leave his own company in 1908. A year later, Justus Christian Braun Premier-Werke took over the production facilities.

1923–1924 Ludwig Maurer tried again at automobile construction. Under the brand name Maurer , he brought out a small car with a two-cylinder two- stroke engine , but this was unsuccessful.
