Maxwerke Harff & Schwarz

The Maxwerke , part of the Cologne electricity and automobile company Harff & Schwarz AG , were a German automobile and commercial vehicle manufacturer based in Cologne .

High-wheel motorized carriages were also built there between 1900 and 1903. The vehicles were powered by gasoline engines , electric motors or both types of engine together. The distinguishing feature was a curved bulkhead, similar to that of the American Oldsmobile Curved Dash .
