Company history
Initially, automobiles and motorized two- and three-wheelers were built, later mainly electric vehicles for transporting people and loads, as well as bicycles. In 1899 the company was located at Ritterstraße 45. This company expanded in 1901 by taking over the Express works and then produced its vehicles under the new brand. An official conversion to Expresswerke A.-G. took place in 1918.
One of the engineers was Robert Schwenke , who created a number of vehicles there with a stagecoach-like appearance and front-wheel drive .
On September 28, 1899, a vehicle took part in a trip for electric automobiles from Berlin to Zehlendorf and back and was awarded a silver medal for this.
