Company history
Alfred Hupfeld's company that bore his name began producing automobiles in Kassel in 1899 . The brand name was Vesuvius . Production ended in 1901. Another source names 1900 as the date of foundation and the date of dissolution.

The range offered motor vehicles with three and four wheels. The vehicles offered space for two people.
According to an advertisement by the company, the tricycle, whose single wheel was in the rear, had a water-cooled motor of 4 hp and had an electric ignition.
Another source confirms the three-wheeled cart for 1900.
