The Deutsche Ultramobilgesellschaft was an automobile manufacturer that was based in Berlin-Halensee between 1903 and 1908 .
Company history
In 1903 the company began as a German agency for Oldsmobile . The Curved Dash model was offered .
From 1904 a copy of the car was offered as an ultra mobile (note the American spelling, analogous to Oldsmobile ). The runabout with two seats had a single - cylinder four-stroke engine with 1570 cm³ displacement , which was installed in the rear and developed 8 hp (5.9 kW) of power, which was passed on to the rear axle via a two-speed planetary gearbox and a chain. The front-arched bulkhead was typical.
The car was manufactured on behalf of the Eisenach vehicle factory and marketed as a "miracle of German technology". In 1906 production was relocated to the Berlin company WA Boese & Co. (not to be confused with the automobile manufacturer Boes & Co. ).
Also from 1906, the construction of a car with a two-cylinder front engine that developed 12 hp began. This was a proprietary construction that had nothing to do with the Curved Dash.
In 1908 the German Ultramobile Society had to file for bankruptcy.
Leutner from Riga produced the ultra-mobile under license.
