The Motorfahrzeug- und Motorenfabrik Berlin AG (MMB) was a German company in the mechanical engineering and automotive industry , which was based in Marienfelde near Berlin from 1899 to 1902 .
history
The company was founded by Max Duttenhofer in 1899 and took over the former Adolf Altmann small engine factory . (Adolf Altmann later founded the Altmann motor vehicle works in Brandenburg (Havel) .) Duttenhofer was already a board member of the Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft (DMG) in Cannstatt. On October 2, 1902, the bankrupt MMB was taken over by DMG. DMG's commercial vehicle production then took place here .

The vehicles were also manufactured according to Daimler's design documents, but they were of inferior quality. In addition, electric cars and trucks with battery-electric drives were also manufactured.
