Karl Slevogt Kleinwagenbau was a German manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Karl Slevogt worked as a designer for Cudell , Scheibler , Spyker , Laurin & Klement , Puch , Apollo and Selve . In 1928 he started his own business with the Karl Slevogt engineering office in Hameln and worked as a consultant. In 1930 he founded the automobile production company in the same city. The brand name was Slevogt . Production ended in 1933. A total of around 25 vehicles were built.

The only model was a tricycle with the single wheel in the front. A built-in motor from Rinne provided the drive . It was a water-cooled single-cylinder - two-stroke engine with 198 cc displacement and 6 hp power. It was mounted above the front wheel and powered it. The open body offered space for two people. The wheelbase was 200 cm and the track was 117 cm. The curb weight was given as 214 kg.

On August 5, 1931, Slevogt drove eight laps with one of his vehicles on the Berlin AVUS at an average speed of 59.84 km / h and then back to Hameln at an average of 46 km / h.
