Economy, culture and sport
In Gerolsheim there are small businesses as well as farmers and winegrowers. The regional winegrowers' cooperative Palmberg, founded in 1958, is half in Gerolsheim and half in Laumersheim and has its headquarters at the foot of the Palmberg . Due to the strong increase in population, conversions, extensions and new buildings were necessary at the cemetery, school, kindergarten and children's playgrounds. As a result of the increasing number of residents, associations that are active in many areas of interest have grown significantly or have been newly founded.
The construction of the village community center including sports and outdoor facilities, a biotope, the fairground and the renovated town hall enable sporting, social and cultural development.
The most well-known club in the community is the Turn- und Sportverein (TuS) Gerolsheim 1892, which has been playing bowling in the Bundesliga at DKBC for more than twenty years and in the DCU since 2012 . The bowling department is also represented at championships. The scissors bowler Holger Mayer also plays there .
