Handball World Championship 2015 / Qualification

This page describes the qualification for the 2015 Women's Handball World Championship in Denmark .

Africa

Africa provides three participants who were determined at the 2014 African Cup of Nations. The championship took place from January 16 to 25, 2014 in Algiers as a tournament.

World Cup participant

Qualified for the 2015 World Cup are:

•  Tunisia (African Champion 2014)
•  Democratic Republic of the Congo (2nd at the 2014 African Cup of Nations)
•  Angola (3rd at the 2014 African Championship)

America

In addition to the already qualified defending champions Brazil , three other teams qualified for the World Cup at the 2015 Women's Handball Pan American Championship , which took place from May 21 to May 28, 2015. Furthermore, Uruguay earned the right to start at the qualifying tournament with fifth place.

Qualified for the 2015 World Cup are:

•  Cuba (2nd at Pan American Championship 2015)
•  Argentina (3rd at the 2015 Pan American Championship)
•  Puerto Rico (4th at the 2015 Pan American Championship)

The first qualifying round was held in 4 groups, with the first placed qualifying for the play-off games.
