Until 1918 the place in Sohl County belonged to the Kingdom of Hungary and then came to Czechoslovakia or today Slovakia. During the Slovak National Uprising , the partisans were supported by the local population, so that at least 60 people were shot during the reprisals by the Wehrmacht in November 1944.
