List of railway lines in Baden-Württemberg

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This list contains the existing and the former railway lines in today's state of Baden-Württemberg .

Contains Baden-Wuerttemberg public railway lines , but no factory or sidings . Trams are listed if they were originally licensed as railways . The division of the routes is based on the scheme of the VzG route numbers or the construction history.

For a better overview, the routes are sorted by client in different tables. The sorting within the table follows the opening date of the first section.

Explanations for the individual columns:

  • Route : starting and ending point of the route. The name of the operating points corresponds to the current or the last valid official name in the operating point directory .
  • km : Current distance between the starting and destination stations in kilometers, rounded to one decimal place. For cross-border routes, the value corresponds to the length of the route within Baden-Württemberg.
  • Opening : Date of the start of regular operations
  • Law of : legal basis for the construction of the line, for example laws or international treaties
  • Closure : Date of the formal closure of the route.
