Distribution of seats in the 16th Knesset

Broken down according to parties or lists, the following distribution of seats resulted:

In the course of the electoral term, however, there were numerous parliamentary groups . In 2003, the Jisra'el be'Alija party merged with Likud, which now held 40 seats. In 2005 the faction of United Torah Judaism broke up into the two parties Agudat Jisra'el and Degel ha-Tora. Schinui (1 MP, founds Tzalasch ) and the National Religious Party (2 MPs, found the Party of Renewed National Religious Zionism ) also experienced separation and the founding of a party . When Am Echad joined the Avoda-Meimad faction , an MP left the party and founded his own Noj faction , but later joined the Kadima , which had meanwhile formed from 14 former Likud MPs. A year later, Schinui experienced another split: 3 MPs formed the Schinui faction , the remaining 11 united as a secular faction . Also in 2006 a member of parliament left the National Union and remained non-attached. Of the remaining three MPs from Shinui, one left the party and founded haOlim , later joined the National Union, from which Jisra'el Beitenu (3 MPs) broke. Two MPs left the secular faction and founded ha-Bajit ha-Le'umi . Most recently, the factional community of Chadasch and Ta'al disbanded . In the end the following picture emerged:
