NGC 202 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 / a in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 183 million light years from the Milky Way and about 50,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 193 , NGC 199 , NGC 203 , NGC 204 .
The object was discovered on November 17, 1876 by the French astronomer Édouard Stephan .
