NGC 204 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 245 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 85,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 193 , NGC 199 , NGC 203 , NGC 211 .
The object was discovered on October 16, 1827 by the British astronomer John Herschel .
