NGC 203 = NGC 211 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 / a in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic. It is an estimated 238 million light years from the Milky Way and about 60,000 light years across.
In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 193 , NGC 199 , NGC 202 , NGC 204 .

The object was discovered on December 19, 1873 by the Scottish astronomer Ralph Copeland . Édouard Jean-Marie Stephan observed the same galaxy on November 18, 1876. The double observation was not recognized and so it was given the designation NGC 211 .
