NGC 208 is a spiral galaxy from the Hubble type Sa in the constellation fish on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 233 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 50,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 194 , NGC 198 , NGC 200 , IC 40 .
The object was discovered on October 5, 1863 by the German astronomer Albert Marth .
