Senegal took part in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro . It was the 14th participation in the Summer Olympics. The Comité National Olympique et Sportif Sénégalais nominated 22 athletes in eight sports.

The flag bearer at the opening ceremony was the wrestler Isabella Sambou .
