Patrick J. Carley (born February 2, 1866 in County Roscommon , Ireland , † February 25, 1936 in Brooklyn , New York ) was an American politician . Between 1927 and 1935 he represented New York State in the US House of Representatives .

Career

Patrick J. Carley was born in County Roscommon during the Victorian Age . The Carley family immigrated to the United States during his childhood. He attended public schools there. He then worked in construction, but also pursued banking business. He was also director of the Bay Ridge Memorial Hospital . Politically, he belonged to the Democratic Party .

In the 1926 congressional elections for the 70th Congress , Carley was elected to the US House of Representatives in Washington, DC , in the eighth constituency of New York , where he succeeded William E.
