Peter Dommisch
Peter Dommisch (born August 1, 1934 in Berlin ; † January 4, 1991 there ) was a German actor , voice actor and radio play speaker .
Life
Dommisch completed an acting training from 1953 to 1956 at the State Drama School Berlin, today the Academy of Dramatic Arts "Ernst Busch" Berlin , in Berlin-Schöneweide . He had his first theater engagements at the Görlitz Theater, the Cottbus Theater and the Hans Otto Theater in Potsdam . In 1961 he was engaged at the Deutsche Theater Berlin ; there he was a permanent member of the ensemble until 1971. From 1971 to 1977 he played at the Berliner Volksbühne . From 1977 until his death he was again a member of the actors' ensemble at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin. From time to time he also made guest appearances at the cabaret Die Distel , for example in the cabaret program Revue der Gekränkten (1966/1967).
As a theater actor , Dommisch interpreted a broad repertoire , which included plays by William Shakespeare , the German authors of the Classical and Romantic periods , the theater of the turn of the century , but also plays from the modern era , plays by Bertolt Brecht and contemporary theater.

From 1956 Peter Dommisch also took on roles in film, television and radio; he is often cast in comical roles. He appeared several times in the humorous short films from the Stacheltier series.
At DEFA he often played in fairy tale films , for example as a knight in The Brave Little Tailor (1956), as a stupid neighbor in The Magic Man (1960) or as Franz in The Golden Goose (1964). In later years he shows, under the direction of Michael Gwisdek in the film drama Treffen in Travers (1988) as host Leonidas through his "reserved" performance an impressive acting performance.
On GDR television he had several episode roles in the crime series Blaulicht , so as a killer in episode 04 Kippentütchen (broadcast January 14, 1960) and in the double episode 18 hot money (broadcast March 23/24, 1963), police call 110 , as “Calculating perpetrator” in the police call episode The Man (1975), and The Public Prosecutor has the floor .
In addition to his film work, Dommisch worked extensively as a radio play speaker. In the 1970s and 1980s, Dommisch worked for the record company Litera in several fairy tale radio plays that were released as records . Among other things, he spoke a billy goat in Das Katzenhaus (1977), the 2nd narrator in The Swineherd (1978), the 2nd Servant in The Wild Swans (1978), the Baron in King Drosselbart (1979), the forest crow in The Snow Queen ( 1983), as well as the sun host in The Cold Heart (1986).
As a voice actor , he became known as Benny , primarily through the Olsen Gang films. Due to a serious illness, he was unable to synchronize in the last years of his life. He gave his role as Larifabum in the TV series Das Spielhaus to Ernst-Georg Schwill , but was still a guest in the radio play studio ( Der Wolkenstein , 1989).
His grave is in the Dorotheenstädtischer Friedhof in Berlin.
