The tour of the Sri Lankan national cricket team against Pakistan in the 1988/89 season , also known as the 1989 Sharjah Cup , took place from March 23 to 24, 1989. The international cricket tour was part of the 1988/89 international cricket season and included five ODIs . Pakistan won the series 2–0.

Pakistan previously played a tour in New Zealand and Sri Lanka at the Asia Cup in 1988 . The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 1985/86 season in Sri Lanka .
