Wymysły [ vɨˈmɨswɨ ] ( German Wymisly , 1938 to 1945 Katzenbuckel ) is a small town in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the Gmina Mrągowo ( rural community Sensburg ) in the powiat Mrągowski ( Sensburg district ).
Geographical location
Wymysły is located west of the river Deine ( Polish Dajna ) between the two lakes Katzensee ( Jezioro Kot ) and Czarna Lake ( Jezioro Czarne ) in the middle of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , four kilometers north of the district town of Mrągowo ( German Sensburg ).
history
The place called Wimisly after 1818, Wymysly after 1871 and Wymisly until 1938 was until 1945 as a Vorwerk within the rural community Seehesten ( Polish: Szestno ), which belonged to the Sensburg district in the Gumbinnen district (from 1905: Allenstein district ) in the Prussian province of East Prussia . In 1867 there were 11 registered residents, in 1885 35 and in 1905 22 inhabitants. On June 3 (officially confirmed on 16 July) 1938 Wymisly was in "cat's back" renamed . With the whole of southern East Prussia , the place was transferred to Poland in 1945 as a result of the war and was given the Polish form of the name “Wymysły”. Today it is a town within the Gmina Mrągowo (Town Sensburg ) in mrągowo county (Kreis Sensburg ) until 1998, the Olsztyn Province (Olsztyn) , since the Warmia and Mazury belong.

Until 1945 Wymisly resp. Katzenbuckel in the Evangelical Church of Seehesten in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Roman Catholic Church of St. Adalbert in Sensburg in what was then the Diocese of Warmia . Today Wymysły belongs to the Protestant parish church in Mrągowo within the Masuria diocese of the Evangelical Augsburg Church in Poland and to the parish church in Szestno in today's Archdiocese of Warmia in the Polish Catholic Church .
