history
Air Partner was founded in 1961. The seat was originally in the Art Deco style Beehive Terminal , Gatwick's original terminal with grass runways. The core business initially comprised aviation training for military pilots who wanted to switch to civil aviation . Used were flight simulators and a fleet of beagles . The company then evolved into a charter company with a fleet of Piper Chieftain , Piper Aztec , BAe 125 and Cessna Citation II and changed the name to Air London. The decision to concentrate on the charter business was made in 1983.
