The District Baldone (Baldones novads) is located in the center of Latvia in the historic landscape Zemgale .

geography

The area is located in extensive pine forests south of Riga . The Ķekava River crosses the district in a west-east direction. The southwest border is formed by the Misa .

population

The district consists only of the municipality (pagast) Baldone , in which the administrative center is also located. 5762 inhabitants (2010) live in the Baldone district.
