The district of Cibla (Ciblas novads) is located in eastern Latvia on the border with Russia in the historic Latgale region .
geography
The Ludza flows through the sparsely populated area . The Zilupe and Lake Pītelis lie on the eastern border with Russia . There are extensive swampy plains in the area .

The district consists of the four parishes (pagasts) Līdumnieki, Pušmucova, Zvirgzdene, Cibla . The administrative center is in Blonti . 3309 inhabitants (2010) live in the district of Cibla.
