Boston (film)
Boston (Original title: Patriots Day ) is an American thriller from 2016 . Directed by Peter Berg and starring Mark Wahlberg , the film reconstructs Patriots' Day of 2013 in Boston , Massachusetts . The Boston Marathon took place there and the attack on the Boston Marathon with three dead and over 260 injured. Mark Wahlberg was also responsible for the completion of the film as a producer.
The film was released in selected cinemas on December 21, 2016. On January 13, 2017, it opened in most US cinemas. He was seen in Germany and Austria from February 23, 2017.

The focus of the plot is married cop Tommy Saunders. On April 15, 2013, he was given the task of monitoring the course of the Boston Marathon with his colleagues. Suddenly, several explosive devices explode. It's a terrorist attack. Two brothers are soon identified as suspects. A feverish search for the attackers began for several days.

The film was shot in April 2016 on a budget of 45 million US dollars in locations in Massachusetts , mostly in Malden and Framingham . The scene of Jokhar Zarnayev's capture in the film was shot on the third anniversary of the assassin's arrest.
