The community lies to the west above Lake Orta and covers an area of ​​11.65 km². The factions Colma, Grassona and Egro belong to Césara. The neighboring municipalities are Arola , Civiasco ( VC ), Madonna del Sasso , Nonio , Pella ( NO ) and Varallo Sesia ( VC ).

Attractions

  • Late Romanesque parish church of San Clemente, renovated at the end of the 16th century with the addition of a late Renaissance portico; it preserves frescoes from the 15th century and in the apse the painting San Clemente fra i Santi Pietro e Giovanni Battista attributed to the painter Fermo Stella (* around 1490 in Caravaggio ; † around 1562 ibid).
