history
From Crevoladossola, the Roman consular road connected Severiana Augusta Mediolanum (today's Milan ) with Verbannus Lacus (Verbano or Lago Maggiore ) and from here with the Simplon Pass (Latin Summo Plano).
The Battle of Crevola is part of the war between the Ossola and the Swiss canton of Valais that took place between 1482 and 1495. Since February 15, 1487, the Duke of Milan has been informed that troops are gathering in Valais and are sending soldiers to Domodossola to reinforce the defense. In April, Valais and Confederates meet in the direction of Domodossola, both from the Simplon Pass and from the Valle Antigorio ; After several conflicts on April 28, 1487, the Valais withdraw towards Crevoladossola and are defeated by the ducal militias at the bridge over the Diveria.

- The parish church of Santi Pietro e Paolo was first mentioned in the first decades of the 11th century; today's presbytery in late Gothic form is the work of the architect Ulrich Ruffiner; the precious stained glass windows by the Bernese glassmaker Hans Funk were made in 1526. The walls of the presbytery are decorated with monochrome frescoes depicting the saints attributed to the 16th century painter Sperindio Cagnoli, as well as the Last Supper and the sibyls of the archway. The picturesque decor of the choir is attributed to the painter Fermo Stella from Caravaggio .

- Oratory of San Vitale al Ponte: built after the victory of the ducal militias of Milan over the Swiss militias in the area of the Crevola bridge on April 28, 1487.
